We removed it...
and took it home and we ripped out the existing kitchen...
Next we lifted the vinyl and the carpet and the vinyl under the carpet. Then we scraped off a fair bit of the glue and removed the nails and stuff. Then we rang City Sanding and they did all the work sanding and adding poly to it which took a couple of days. Then a week to really harden...
Its nearly done now and looks wonderful. Rory has added lighting, moved power points and increased power points because of the wall oven, microwave space, pantry halogen lighting, waste disposal unit, dishwasher (we had to buy that separately on trade me for $190).
And we had to get a new benchtop and breakfast bar. But Placemakers had one half price due to slight damage at one end (which we have to cut off anyway as its too long). All we have to do now is be brave and cut it with a mason's mitre using only a skill saw, a jigsaw, a handsaw, a straight edge and some clamps.
The old kitchen below:
Ok it might have cost $102 plus some for the electrics and plumbing and the floor work but that was going to have to be done anyway (the floor was dreadful).
